Reel 1, the 5th Marine Reg't boards the transport Hancock at Philadelphia. The cruiser Huntington escorts the transport convoy ; a destroyer escort, including the Smith, meets the convoy off Brest, France. Troops aboard the freighter Wilhelmina play handball, box, and wage pillow fights. 7th and 39th Div. troops aboard the George Washington don life jackets. 42nd Div. troops receive tobacco rations aboard the transport Tenadores ; the troops exercise, attend religious services, and sing and dance. Shows gun drills aboard the George Washington and the transport Dekalb. Reel 2 shows gun, depth bomb, and smoke-screen drills aboard the destroyer Little. Gun drills are conducted on the transports Whipple and Hancock. Oil and food is transferred from the destroyer Poe to the destroyer Warrington. Shows survivors of a submarine attack aboard the Warrington. The convoy, escorted by a dirigible, nears Brest. Reel 3 (8'30) , hydroplanes take off at L'Aber-Vrach and join the convoy.
